God Has Your Back!!

by Debi Baker

"As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon
and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated."
2 Corinthians 20:22 NIV

How many of us have dealt with people who are against us? I think if we were honest with ourselves we would all agree that at one time or another there has been someone that is against us. If we think that everyone all the time will be for us, we need a reality check. The truth is, not everyone will agree with us all the time. That doesn't mean that they are our enemy, they just aren't in agreement with us. That's ok. But...there will be someone somewhere in our life that we could consider our enemy. They will be against us in every way.

The Israelites had this problem. Sadly, they still do! In 2 Corinthians, Jehoshaphat was king and the enemies of Israel were coming to destroy her. The Israelites prayed and praised. Verse 22 tells us that the singing and praising caused God to set ambushes for those coming after Israel!

We are no less important to God! When we have enemies, if we will sing His praises and worship God, He will do no less for us than He did the Israelites! I can't think of anyone I'd rather have on my side than the Lord!  I am important to Him! WOW!! Well, guess what! You are important to Him, too!! He will go before you and set the enemy for defeat...IF (that big little word)...you will praise Him and sing praises to Him!!!

I pray that you will remember God is your Heavenly Father and He loves you more than you could ever imagine. He has your back!!!! Never forget that!

Have a blessed day!
