Pray Some More

By: Shari A. Miller

The place where I'm happiest, and most comfortable, is when I'm in Jesus' presence pouring my heart out to him in prayer. It brings a soothing balm to my soul.

There are times when life gets very hard and I feel as if the prayers I utter just don't seem to be getting through. But, I know better than to believe this. I know it's a lie from the enemy trying to hinder my relationship with God.

When I feel that I can't hear God, or that he is far away, one thing I have learned is to.....pray some more.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, God's Word tells us to, "pray without ceasing."

It doesn't tell us to pray when we feel like it, or when things aren't going well, it says to pray ALL the time.

When we continue to pray, we're in obedience to his word, and he will honor us for that.

When we continually turn to him, instead of doubt and worry, he will grant us peace. 2 Thessalonians 3:16a, states, "Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way."

Friends, don't give up when the answers don't seem to be coming, or when trials seem overwhelming. Focus on God and not the problem and he will carry you through.

"We have to pray with our eyes on God, not on the difficulties.” ~ Oswald Chambers

It is time for our Woman to Woman Word Filled Wednesday Link Up. We desire to connect women of God with one another and encourage each other in Christ. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back and visit a few blogs. Be encouraged and share your own stories in their comments.

Use the hashtag #w2wwordfilledwednesday!

Three rules to this link up:
1. Must be a {Christian} faith post.
2. You must link back to W2W somewhere in your post.
3. You must visit and comment on at least one other blog in the link up.
