Grateful, Thankful, Blessed And So Uniquely You

 By: Paula Short

I sat in the waiting room reading a woman's magazine. It was one of those homemaking magazines. The article was about décor that was no longer the IN thing.

Among the things that are no longer IN are some words you find on word signs in your house. You know the ones like welcome, home, inspire, etc.?

Let me share with you some of the words for décor that this particular magazine (I don't remember which one) said are not IN anymore.

These words include; Live, Laugh, Love, Grateful, Thankful, Blessed, Gather, and a few more that I can't recall. However, as I shop in stores and online, and look for things to make crafts with and read other articles. I find that these word saying are still abundantly popular.

Okay, Paula, what's your point? It's a matter of personal preference. The thing about it is this. God created each of us in a way that is unique and special. He designed each of us to bring Him glory in a way no one else can.

Just as each of us has our DNA designed by our great creator, he made us unique and different. If signs that say grateful, thankful, and blessed bring you joy and remind you that you are grateful, thankful, and blessed, that's okay. It's part of your uniqueness and just a tiny snippet of your life as you show God glory.

We're all created special, unique, and with different talents.

"For You shaped me, inside and out. You knitted me together in my mother's womb long before I took my first breath. I will offer You my grateful heart, for I am Your unique creation, filled with wonder and awe. You have approached even the smallest details with excellence; Your works are wonderful; I carry this knowledge deep within my soul." Psalm 139:13-14— VOICE

He knew you beforehand.

"The Lord gave me this message: "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:4-5— NLT

Remember.

You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do]; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And You are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue [still unspoken],

Behold, O Lord, You know it all. Psalm 139:2-4— AMP

Reflection

Do you have any word signs/sayings in your home that bring you joy?

How does it make you feel knowing that the creator of the universe designed you, especially for him?
