Teachings from Job

By:

Emily Miller

As I am studying the book of Job this month, I came across a verse in the second chapter that struck me in particular.

Think about it.

Do you learn the most when everything is on track with your life?

Or, do you learn more when you are struggling?

I know that even though I may not like some of the hardships I go through in this life. Yet, when I look back, those times are the times God has taught me the most about himself.

Next time you are facing a hardship in your life, I would encourage you to lift up your head. Praise Him in the storm for that lesson that He has in store for you!

Blessings,
Emily

  2. That's so true. The moments we'd most like to avoid are often the ones where He does the most work in and on us and manifests Himself more clearly.

  3. I definitely am not a fan of hard times, but I agree with you that much growth often comes from much adversity. Thanks, Emily. We can be encouraged by this.
