Praying for your Family

By:

Emily Miller

The enemy wants to sneak his way into every aspect of your life where you become vulnerable.

He also wants to sneak into the life of your immediate family members, as well as your husband or your future husband and destroy his life as well.

According to Priscilla Shirer in her bestselling book titled Ferverent (which I would highly recommend reading if you have not already done so), it is when the areas of our lives that come under attack in relation to our present and future families that we need to fight the hardest.

We don't need to be fighting for a change of heart or attitude in another person related to us, we need to fight for these changes as we get on our knees in prayer.

We cannot and should not be the persons involved in changing the behavior of another person in our family. Only God has the power to do so.

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
-Matthew 7:7

Sometimes as believers it is required that we be persistent about asking for God's intervention on our families behalf.

In the end, if we ask and belive, we shall receive so long as it is in the will of God.

The next time you sense a spirit of discord in your family, I challenge you to get on your knees and talk it over with God.

You never know what he will be able to do!

Blessings-

Emily
