Secret Petitions...

Sometimes we have prayers and petitions that we've shared with no one but God.  Often it's His ears alone that have heard the truth about our unhealed hurts, our unmet needs, our unfulfilled expectations, hopes, dreams and desires. It's Him we go to with our cries of desperation when we fear judgement or rejection from others if we were to tell them about our struggle with sin or unbelief or discouragement or depression.  He's our safe place, the One we can safely talk to about anything and everything.  We can trust Him with every desire and secret petition. Not one prayer has been ignored. Not one petition has been forgotten.  He is carefully, tenderly, wisely, tending to each and every one. Delight in Him and trust that He is handling every care, concern and longing that you have laid at His feet.

    1. It's an old favorite if mine, too. But, in the way that only He can do, God recently spoke it in a fresh and new way to my heart.

  2. Such wonderful encouragement, Elizabeth. "Not one prayer has been ignored. Not one petition has been forgotten." We can be certain that He tends to each one and responds, in His way and in His time.

    1. Mostly, I write about truths God is reminding me of, and this is one He recently spoke to my heart.

  3. My doubts, my fears, my sometimes not being a mindful Christian, my attitude at times ~ your scripture is such a great read as so true he tenderly tends to each, even if it is to convict me for such actions; but then over time, it is as if he understood and all will end up okay. Great reminder words for this Sunday. :)
