It Is Good & Pleasant

By: Jenifer Metzger

Whether in the church, mommy groups, Bible study groups, or even your neighborhood, women play a game. A game where we judge one another -sometimes we even do this subconsciously, a game where we compare ourselves to one another, a game that puts walls and barriers between us.

When we living in unity, it is good and pleasant. #unity #friendship #sisterhood #relationship

Behold, how good and pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity.
Psalm 133:1

But oh, when we take those walls and barriers down, when we are in unity with each other, how good and pleasant it is!

When we stop worrying about who breast feeds or bottle feeds, who is all organic or who is not, who homeschools or sends their kids to public school, who is tall or who is short, who is thin or who is not so thin, who is outgoing or who is shy, and we simply begin to see each other as our Creator sees us and love one another with the love of Christ. it is good and pleasant.

We need each other. Living a life shut off from our sisters in Christ can be a lonely place. It's time we realize that we are not in competition with each other. We don't need to judge or feel judged. God created each and every one of us unique for His unique purpose. If we simply support one another and dwell together in unity, incredible things will happen.

  1. I just had a good phone conversation with a friend about unity that is centered around truth, versus what the world thinks of as unity, approval of anything and everything. God's kind of unity is so beautiful!
