For the Tired Mom, You're Not Alone

By: Shari A. Miller

Dear Tired Mom,

Remember.....You're not alone.

On those morning when you can barely make it out of bed because you've been up all night, with a crying babe, you're not alone.

On those days when everyone in the house is sick, including yourself, and yet you still fix breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and take care of your brood, you're not alone.

When the afternoon time hits, and a wave of pure exhaustion tries to extinguish the fires of your soul, remember, you're not alone.

During the night time when you're tucking each child in bed and listening to their prayers, remember you're not alone.

During the mornings, when you rise early and make your husband's breakfast and see him out the door, remember you're not alone.

No matter how tired you are, you have some one right beside you, to help you stand when you feel like you're going to fall.

It's me Jesus Christ the Lord.

If you look to me, and seek my face, I'll give you the strength you need when you feel like you can't go on.

"Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always." ~1 Chronicles 16:11 (NIV)

When you let go of your will and replace it with mine instead, you'll see the fog in front of you start to part. Remember it may not change your circumstances, but you will have me to carry you through whatever those circumstances may be.

“The secret is Christ in me, not me in a different set of circumstances.”  ~ Elizabeth Elliot

Take heart blessed mother, for the strength you so desire, will become infused through the depths of your soul once you search for who I really am.

“When a man has no strength, if he leans on God, he becomes powerful.” ~ D.L. Moody

I see you tired Mom, you're not alone. I am always near, waiting for you to reach out your hand so I can give you everything you need.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” ~ John 16:33 (NIV)

  2. This is a nugget of hope, "When you let go of your will and replace it with mine instead, you'll see the fog in front of you start to part. Remember it may not change your circumstances, but you will have me to carry you through whatever those circumstances may be." And a great reminder that what we walk through in this life, is temporal, but what we walk towards is life eternal in Christ.
    Blessings!
