Don't Waste Any More Time

By: Shari A. Miller

God and I had a little talk with the enemy of lies today.

Guess what we told him?

We told him, "To get out and don't waste any more of my time!"

I finally feel like I am at a point in my life where I finally get it, a point where I have learned an important lesson. One that I have preached far to often, and never quite grasped.

Worry wastes time. It steels us of our todays,  and causes us to lose sleep over our tomorrows. It accomplishes nothing but stress, heartache and sorrow.

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:33-34

The clock ticks away with it's never ending rhythm, and the days on the calender fly by so fast.

Friends......are you with me? Together, lets stop this never ending cycle.

Let's turn in over to the Father. No take backs. Let's just leave it with him.

He's in charge. We are not.

It's time to put our days to good use, by using them the way he intended. To live a life with whole abandonment to what was, as we put our trust in him. It's time to fill our days with purpose and passion as we live them completely sold out for the King.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

  1. I am with you! Funny thing.. there are days I feel like I am there, right where you are done with the silly that steals the joy that has already been ours and once in a while it creeps in and surprises me. Thanks for the reminder to reroute those plans the enemy sends to take away what has never been his to own!
    Blessings,
    Dawn

  2. Ugh...this is so true. But I wonder why I forget so easily. So thankful God sends people to remind me to give Him all my worries. ~Pamela
