Marriage Fruits of the Spirit: FAITHFULNESS

By: Jenifer Metzger

Today we continue the Fruits of the Spirit in Marriage series. To read the previous week's, click on lovejoypeace, patience, kindness, and goodness.

Today's fruit is faithfulness.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Galatians 5:22-23

#Fruit of the #Spirit in #marriage - week 7 #faithfulness

We all know that unfaithfulness in marriage is a no-no. We know that we must keep our love and our body for our husband only. But what about our heart?

God calls us to be faithful in all ways. Faithful in where our thoughts wander, faithful in what our eyes see, faithful in what our lips utter, faithful in all ways.

I love to read, reading is a wonderful way to relax, learn and so much more. But if we are reading books that make us wish our husband was romantic, as the main character is, or think lustful thoughts, we are being unfaithful. Be careful what you read. Be faithful.

We live in a world scantly clad men appear everywhere, tv, magazines, billboards, everywhere. We are going to see it. Simple as that. The unfaithfulness comes when we take that second look. Once we see it, we need to turn away from it, not continue to look. Be faithful.

We are called to be kind to everyone. But we need to make sure our kindness is not mistaken as flirting. Let your flirtatious words be saved for your husband. Be faithful.

Be faithful to your husband in all ways.
