Thursday Thought...

"Train up a child in the way he should go: 

and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Proverbs 22:6 KJV

When my children were young I relied on this verse so much.  One of my biggest desires was to

raise children who loved and served God.  I wanted them to marry Godly spouses.  Now my children are all adults and married with children of their own.  God answered my prayers; each of my 4 children married a Christian and they are all in church.  I still see God working in my children today.  I am a thankful and blessed mama.  

The thought for this Thursday is Proverbs 22:6.  I'm not saying my kids always served God.  There was a season in 2 of their lives that they strayed a bit, but they came back to the Lord.  The Message version says this, "Point your kids in the right direction —    when they’re old they won’t be lost."  God doesn't tell us that our children won't stray.  If we train them to know the WAY, they will return to it.

I know there are mamas reading this that are struggling because their children have strayed from the truth.  Take heart, Mama, trust God's Word.  Keep praying for those babies.  You trained them, now it's up to God to bring them back!
