National Day of Prayer

Good Morning!  Today is our National Day of Prayer.  It's a day when we focus on praying as a nation.  Religious affiliation aside, this day, once a year, is set aside for people to pray for our nation and its leaders.  What a wonderful thing it is to know that all over this country there are people praying!

This brings me to another thought...how blessed we are to have the freedom to be able to have a National Day of Prayer!  The freedoms we have as Americans is such a blessing.  What a privilege it is to be able to bow my head and pray...anywhere, any time.

So, today, I ask you to take a few minutes...at the very least...and pray.  Pray for this country.  Pray for the leaders of our country.  Even if you don't agree with them or don't particularly like them, it is our responsibility as Christians to pray for them.  They need the guidance of God in order to lead this nation.  Pray for your local leaders...mayors, councilpeople, law enforcement, emergency personnel.  Imagine how difficult their jobs must be.  These people are attempting to make the best decisions for a multitude of people...they NEED our prayers.

Have a blessed and prayerfilled day!  Don't forget to thank God for the many blessings He has given you!
