Tasty Tuesday - Chocolate Chip Scones

One of my favorite things to do is bake. It makes me happy to be busy in the kitchen creating baked goods for my family and friends. Chocolate chip sconces are a delicious morning, (or anytime), treat of mine. They go well with a cup of tea, or a glass of milk. This recipe was given to me by a dear friend from college. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

~ Chocolate Chip Scones ~

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup half and half
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients.
2. Cut in butter, add chocolate chips, set aside.
3. Mix half and half and vanilla together, add to flour mixture, stir long enough to bring together, don't over mix.
4. Knead 4-5 times.
5. Pat dough into a circle, 1 1/2 inches thick, cut into 8 wedges.
6. Bake a 400* for 8 minutes.
7. Enjoy!
