Grace and Peace: Essentials for Victorious Living

Today is Wandering Wednesday and we are wandering with Lisa from Cozy Nook!

Grace and Peace:
 Essentials for  Victorious Living

Do you ever feel like you are living in the midst of a storm,

as the intricacies of daily life swirl about you?

The tempests of discouragement and disappointment surround you.

Clouds of sorrow and despair wait to engulf the precious moments of your days.

Whispering winds of gossip and hurtful words blow through your life.

Torrential downpours of to-do lists, full schedules, and “the unexpected” flood your being.

The storm is alive and well!

However…

You may remember Jesus in the midst of the storm.

“And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.”  Matthew 8:24

Jesus was asleep – in a state of relaxation, not bothered by what was going on around Him, not worried about anything.

Jesus embodied grace and peace.

Grace, as defined by the dictionary and understood by people of faith, is a DIVINE quality.

Grace is assistance and favor given to humans by their great and loving God.

In order to weather the storms of life, we need God’s supernatural grace.

We need God’s grace to flood our souls and fill the gaps and cracks of our weathered beings.

God’s grace is the balm for our lives!

It is only through His assistance and favor that we can live victorious lives!

Peace conveys a state of tranquility, calmness, and freedom from disturbance.

When you are confronted with the hardships and bumps of life, is your soul at peace?

I have learned (and am still learning) over the years that I am most victorious when I am able to respond to people and circumstances with a calm soul.

It is God’s will for us to be living in a state of peace, where we reflect our trust in God and His Almighty power.

Paul knew how important grace and peace were in his life as he opened his letters to the churches with something like:

“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Is your life full of God’s grace and peace

or is the storm taking you by force?

Seek Him today!

Humble your heart.

Trust in God’s providence.

Be still and know that He is God!
