Real Life is Messy

Real life is messy. Just coming off of Thanksgiving I wonder if sometimes you feel like that too.

Maybe someone in your family has a drinking problem.

Maybe someone in  your family has a drug problem.

Maybe you're keeping a secret for someone in your family.

Maybe someone in your family is keeping a secret for you.

Maybe someone in your family has an eating disorder.

Maybe someone in your family is going through a divorce.

Maybe you are going through a divorce.

Maybe you're having marriage problems.

Maybe your family has disowned  you.

Maybe you have disowned your family.

Real life is messy. Every day there is some type of drama that happens with families. Jesus says at the start of the end times "They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law." Luke 12:53.

I wonder if your family is having this problem? Can I share with you that no family is perfect. Whether you are a single mom with 4 kids or a widow with 1 child or a woman in the midst of a marital struggle or you have a husband with 2 kids and you feel like your life is perfect, no matter what your family looks like, it's a blessing because your home, first and foremost, is your battle ground. It's where God has placed you, to do some of His greatest work. You are His hands and feet, do you want to be used for Him today?

If you feel like your life is messy that's ok because Jesus says take heart My child. I've overcome the world.

Real life is messy, so cry out to the only One who can clean up the mess today. The only One who can bring you peace, the only One who can bring rest to your soul. He's right there, all He wants is you even in the midst of your mess.

  6. Thank you for this great blog. Every family has its own grief and pain. No one family escape a conflict, a misunderstanding, illness. But Jesus is the Peace and Soul-doctor from/of our families in America, Canada and here in Europe. His care is so great. He is the Rock, the Shepherd, the Savior of all believers on earth.
