The Ministry of Motherhood

I'm beginning to realize that as Sally Clarksons book "The Ministry of Motherhood" puts it - Motherhood isn't just a job, it's a calling.

God has given us the gift of ministry, the gift of motherhood right under our own roof. If you have children you have your own budding deciple. Our children are watching us, in everything we do and they are learning how to live.

Sally Clarkson is an amazing writer, by using the acronym GIFTS she gives real life examples and real life advice on how to minister to our children. She ties it all into how Jesus taught, and loved his desciples.

The Gift of Faith

The Gift of Training

The Gift of Service

Sally Clarkson says "Rather than letting the demands of life determine your parenting priorities you can focus all of your energy on the things that really matters." In each chapter you'll learn how to make every day nitty gritty life work for you, teach your children in a similar way Jesus taught His desciples, and show your children what real life faith looks like.

At the end of each chapter is a small Bible Study to delve further into the topic of motherhood and ministry. Every moment is a teaching moment, and I really enjoyed reading Sally's wisdom about The Ministry of Motherhood.

Now ladies...it just so happens I received 2 books and I would like to give one to you. I'm so excited to be sponsoring my first ever give-away. Here's how you can win...

  1. Hi Mandy - as a SAHM, over the years I've often been looked down on as though my brain is mush because I don't actually 'earn a salary' but have come to realize how important my job has been and continues to be. I no longer feel a lesser being because I don't 'earn'. I'm 'earning' in heaven and thats way better.
    God bless and great post
