You will need:
1/2 butter softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup chopped nuts (we used sliced almonds for this)
1 cup chocolate chips (or 1 cup raisins)
In a large bowl mix butter, sugars, honey, vanilla, egg, flour cinnamon, baking powder and salt. Stir in oats, nuts and chocolate chips (or raisins)
Pour and press into a 13x9in greased baking pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until the top is lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack then cut it into bars.
When the bars are still warm, they taste like yummy granola cake. I hope you try it!
