You Cannot Be Harmed

By: Jenifer Metzger

We are afflicted in every way but not crushed;
we are perplexed but not in despair;
we are persecuted but not abandoned;
we are struck down but not destroyed.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Whatever you are facing, whatever hardship is lurking at your door, whatever pain your heart is holding, remember that you are:

not crushed
not in despair
not abandoned
not destroyed

With God on your side, no one and nothing can bring you harm.

It's time for Share A Link Wednesday! Each Wednesday we invite you to leave a link to your latest blog post in the comments. We still desire to connect women of God with one another and encourage each other in Christ. So grab a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea, sit back and visit a few blogs. Be encouraged and share your own stories.

  1. I love these verses. Circumstances don't always make sense, but we know God is wise and loving and has reasons for what He allows.

    I wrote this week about the struggle with wanting my own way: https://barbarah.wordpress.com/2020/02/03/wanting-my-own-way/.

    1. Barbara, praying and submitting to the Father's will is not always easy. This was such a gentle reminder to be obedient even when it is most difficult. God's ways are always best and ultimately for our good.

  2. Beautiful verse and reminder, that we are not alone. This week I wrote on a nagging wife, http://keepingthetiethatbinds.com/2020/02/04/a-nagging-wife-she-is-not-hard-to-find/
