It's time to pray...

In light of current events I shared some of the following thoughts on Facebook and Instagram. Many people have been sharing those posts, so I thought it might be helpful to share my thoughts here with some links you can click on that will lead you to some scriptures that some of my statements are related to.

It was the summer of 1982 when she was fifteen years old and he was seventeen. Thirty six years later, she's a highly educated, successful college professor, wife and mother. He's a highly educated, successful judge with an unblemished record of public service, a husband and a father. Last Thursday in a highly charged emotional Senate hearing we saw both of them give sworn testimony about an alleged assault in that summer of 1982. I cried as I watched. I prayed. I'm still praying.

God alone knows the real truth of what did or didn't happen. But, what we can be sure of is that the spiritual forces of wickedness will destroy them both in order to further divide and destroy our nation. Look beyond the headlines-there's a spiritual battle going on in our nation, for our nation.

What can we do?
We can pray, pray, pray.

We can watch that our own mouth doesn't err in judgment. "I feel like" doesn't mean that you know. Saying or posting ugly things based on what you feel is just fueling the demonic division in our nation.  Proverbs 18:17 says, He who states his case first seems right, until his rival comes and cross-examines him. There is a Judge we can trust who knows the truth of this matter. We should say less about what we feel and say more in prayer to the Righteous Judge Who can reveal the truth, protect the innocent and heal our land.

  1. It truly has been sad times even before this with all the unrest in our America. And it seems it just keeps coming. I formed many opinions this past week, saw many media posts, but what rang true finally for me is that God knows exactly how this will play out. I'm with you, and have prayed for both parties, and with you am saddened for the lives that my be permanently damaged by this.

  2. Needed words as we see the battle raging. The words from God's Word have been ringing in my heart...if my people who are called by My Name will humble themsekves and seek my face - I will heal their land. Oh, for humble hearts that seeks His face!
