Trust, lean, acknowledge, allow...

by Debi Baker

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6

This is one of the very first verses I memorized after I got saved.  It was a big help to me as I'd never been exposed to true Christianity before and I wasn't sure what I was supposed do or how I was supposed to act.

It's not necessarily easy to trust God with your whole heart; it's something we have to learn to do.  It's also very difficult to learn to lean on God and not on ourselves or what the world says to lean on.  Acknowledging God in every aspect of our life is probably one of the easiest things we can do.  It's not hard to see Him in His creation.  It's not hard to see Him in others if we are looking for Him.

I know from first hand experience, acknowledging God and allowing Him to direct my path is very rewarding.  When you feel God directing your path, you can truly begin to feel who He is.

Today, I challenge you to trust God entirely.  Lean on Him.  Acknowledge Him and allow Him to direct your path.  You will definitely get farther in life when you do these things.

God bless,
