THE LORD REIGNS! Those are three very powerful words. The LORD reigns. Not the Democrats or the Republicans, not Vladimir Putin or Kim Jong-Un, not the state of your bank account, the economy, your health or the health care system, not satan himself or all the demons in hell. THE LORD REIGNS! He is predominate, preeminent, supreme and sovereign over all-this sin twisted earth included. The enemy wants us to cower in fear, worry and anxiety. He wants us to waste our today fearing the future. However, once we are firmly, immovably, completely convinced of the truth that THE LORD REIGNS, then we are not easily shaken by the tactics of satan nor the headlines on the five o'clock news.
Merriam-Webster defines LORD as, "a ruler by hereditary right or preeminence to whom service and obedience are due". When we receive Christ as not only Savior but truly as LORD, then we should be yielded and submitted to Him and His ways. However, if we've received Him as Savior, but not made Him LORD, then no wonder our life feels out of control! We were never meant to be our own lord. Yes, God rules over all creation, but He will not force us to let Him be LORD and rule and reign us. It's our choice. When we allow God to reign in us then we can have peace even in the midst of this world's turmoil knowing that the God Who reigns in us is powerful, strong and in control. No circumstance, situation, test or trial that we go through takes Him by surprise. He does not leave His children in the capricious hands of fate but we are safely kept in His hands. Knowing that the Lord reigns over creation is awesome, but knowing He reigns in your life is even better!

Such true words Elizabeth. Once we let Christ be the LORD, then the attitude gets better and when worry tries to enter, we can better deal with it as well as all the worldly things that try to impact us each day. Amen to your post. :) Have a great week.
