Counting Your Blessings

We all could be counting more of the things Gods has blessed us in our life.



When you feel let down, count your blessings. This will make you realize everything God has blessed you with. When the situation seems grim, counting your blessings will make the outlook seem more positive as you realize you don't have things as bad off as you first thought you did.

The following are some verses about what the bible has to say about counting your blessings. I would encourage you to write them down in a place where you will see them on a day to day basis so that you might remember to praise God each and every single day for all the good He has done in your life.

Psalm 105:1-5
 Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Psalm 103:2-5 
Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagles!

Psalm 103: 6-7 
The LORD gives righteousness and justice to all who are treated unfairly. He revealed his character to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel.

Psalm 103:8-10 
The LORD is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.

Romans 5:6-8 
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die – but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Psalm 103:11-12
For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.

Psalm 103:17 
But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

Psalm 118:1
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!


Every day you wake up is a blessing to God. Always be sure to walk in step with His word according to his will!
