With the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God...

"¹⁶ For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a

shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump

of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  ¹⁷ Then we

which are alive and remain shall be caught up together

with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:

and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

These 2 verses have long been 2 of my very favorite!  I cannot wait until the time when the Trumpet of God blasts and the Archangel shouts, and the Lord descends from heaven to call His children home!!  

In 2001, my hubby and I had the privilege visiting Israel.  It was the most amazing trip we have ever taken.  I would go back in a heartbeat!!  While there, we were shopping in Jerusalem where I purchased a Shofar.  I practiced and practiced and finally was able to play it.  Just hearing the sound from that instrument made the hair on my skin stand up!  It is the most amazing sound!  I am truly looking forward to hearing it coming from the heavens one day!!!

This promise from God is one I hold so dear to my heart.  The Lord promises to take us, His children, home!  This world...it's not our true home.  If we have received Christ into our hearts and live for Him; if we call ourselves Christians...we have a home in Heaven.  Jesus is there preparing it for us even now.  All I can say is "Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly!"

I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did.  I would have done a video of me blowing my shofar, but it's been way too long since I've done it and you wouldn't have been able to enjoy the true beauty of it!!
