When You Cannot Find God

By: Emily Miller

Let's face it.

We all have had situations in our life where we have to truly wonder where God is.

I had one just recently as I was in the hospital over Christmas break with a blood clot in my right arm.

Then, just recently I was hospitalized again due to complications from the blood thinners I am on.

Where is God in a situation like that?

I intended to relax over break, watch Christmas movies, get some chores done, and work on my writing.

This month I planned on learning about the Vietnam war, something I have never studied before and was excited to learn more about.

Instead, I found myself in the hospital for a total of almost five days.

Our lives rarely go according to plan. As a matter of fact, each and every experience God puts us through in our lives are intended for our faith in Him to grow.

After all, our faith in God will only be able to grow only if God puts us in situations where we have trouble seeing His divine hand.

"For that you know when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow".
-James 1:3

When you find yourself facing a seemingly hopeless situation where you cannot seem to find God, remember that He is still there. Take this opportunity to boldly seek Him and grow in your Faith and endurance in Christ.

You may not see God's work in a negative situation for a while, but you will discover that in the end, your relationship you have with Him has strengthened due to the trials He has put you through.

Blessings,

Emily
