I Am Being Bullied

By: Jenifer Metzger

I am being bullied.

My bully tells me...
I am not good enough.
I am not pretty enough.
I will fail.
I don't know what I am doing.
No one likes me.
I deserve the worst.

My bully hurts me. My bully causes me endless tears.

I am being bullied. My bully tells me... I am not good enough. I am not pretty enough....

My bully is me.

And you shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32

No longer will I listen to my bully. No longer will I listen to the enemy. I will listen to truth. When we know the truth, when we know the Word of God, we can combat what the enemy is whispering to us. We can put an end to the bullying.

I will praise You, for I am fearfully
and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:14

I can do all things through
Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13

Yet in all these things we are more
than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Romans 8:37

But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while w were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

I know I am not alone here. Friends, stop bullying yourself. Stop listening to the enemy as he whispers lies to you. Start memorizing Scripture and say the verses over and over. Remember, you are loved, you are treasured, you are the daughter of the Most High King.

  1. Yes. I do believe I've been bullied by others especially at a worksite but more so by myself. Especially after an accident that has changed me mentally, physically and psychologically But God said He would show me the path of LIFE not just when I was whole. It is especially difficult as others have excluded me and I'm hurt. But praise God. He is always here. My joy comes from Him. My strength? From His joy. I think I'm my worst critic. Lord help me to become J more like you every day. Amen
