Asking for help...

Who doesn't want to be prosperous and successful?  Who wouldn't want to be know as a person who deals wisely?  I think we all desire these things.  Joshua 1:8 indicates that we need to cooperate with God in some areas if we want to be prosperous, successful and wise. We need to love God's Word and be diligent to read and study it until it dominates our thoughts and influences our words.  We need to love it enough to know what it says and then do it.

God never said that the key to prosperity and success was to simply demand it, claim it, or declare it.  He said that living a life that lines up with His Word is where true success and prosperity and wisdom is found.  And, our God is so gracious, merciful and kind, that He'll even help us! If we ask Him, He will help us to love His Word.  He will also help us to understand it and He will then use the truth of His Word to renew our mind and transform our stinking thinking into thoughts that line up with His. He'll even help us to do the things written in the Word, to obey Him! He's given us His Holy Spirit to help us in all of these areas.  It would be so frustrating if God said "Here's what you need to do to experience prosperity and success, good luck!", then left us to to our own feeble devices.  When God requires something of us, He also enables us.  So, in our asking for prosperity, success and wisdom, maybe first of all we should ask for His help to do what it takes to get on the right pathway for godly prosperity, wisdom and success to happen in our life.

still following,
