My Heart Cry

By: Jenifer Metzger

Music is an important part of worship to our Father. I love music. It has always been important in my life. As a matter of fact, it is one ways I feel the closest to God. After all, He created music.

Speak to one another with psalm,
hymns and songs from the Spirit.
Sing and make music from
your heart to the Lord.
Ephesians 5:19

Each morning when I start my quiet time with God out, I start with music. I turn on my iPad and select my worship playlist. The song on my heart, and on repeat all day long, is Holy Spirit by Francesca Battistelli. As I sing the song, I personalize it.

Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood my home and fill the atmosphere.
Your glory God, is what my heart longs for.
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord.

His presence is what I crave in my home. I want Him to flood my home. I want His Spirit so strong in my home that my husband, my kids and I all feel it. Right now, this is my song. My heart cry.

What song is on your heart right now? What speaks to you and brings you right to the throne room of the Father?
