Jehovah M'Kaddesh - The Lord makes me holy

"⁷ Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the Lord your God. 

⁸ Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the Lord, who makes you holy."

Leviticus 20:7-8 NIV

"² Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them:

'Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.'"

Leviticus 19:2 NIV

Jehovah M'Kaddesh - The Lord makes me holy.  

To sanctify means to 'set apart.'  To set apart means to 'make holy.'  God is holy and He calls us to be holy as He is.  Now, there is not one of us that is 'holy.'  But in God we can strive for that holiness.  It's impossible for us as a human to be holy, but that in itself should cause us to run straight to the arms of God, the Holy One!  

I know that in myself there is nothing holy!  That frightens me and makes me WANT to run to my Father in Heaven...for it is in His arms that I will find that holiness that only He is!

Today, I challenge you to run to the Father for He alone is holy!!
