God is able...

by Debi Baker

"20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work

within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think."

Ephesians 3:20NLT

Even though we may say we believe God can do anything, I wonder how often we really believe it?  God is able...He is able to do ANYTHING!  This verse says He can do INFINITELY more than we might ask or think!  No stop for a minute...what does infinitely mean?  It means never ending or immeasurable!  God is able to do whatever we ask or think, yes, but He is also more than capable of doing so much more than we could ever imagine!!!  The KJV of this verse says 'exceedingly abundantly' more than we could ask or imagine.  That tells me that God can take any prayer or thought we might have and do MORE than our brain is capable of imagining!

One example of this 'exceedingly abundantly' type of blessing
comes to my mind.  Some friends of mine and my hubby's were married for something like 10 or 15 years (to be honest, I don't remember the exact number of years, but it was a lot!)...all the while praying for a child.  Year after year...begging God for a baby.  They were prayed over in church several times.  One day, they found out she was pregnant!  That family now has 4 children!  They had begun to think that God would never give them a child and now they have more than they EVER imagined!

Whatever it is that you are believing God for, He is able to give you far MORE than you can possibly imagine.  Too often we pray for such and such and God is wanting to give us more.  I think all too often we put a limit to our blessings because we see with finite minds when God sees infinitely!

So, today, I challenge you to believe God for some of that infinitely more than we might ask or think kinds of prayers!  If you are believing God for something don't put Him in a box.  Ask according to HIS will and watch Him bless you above and beyond!!!

Have an abundantly blessed day!!
