Walk In Freedom

Today is the day we remember the events of 9/11 {USA}. The day we wear red, white and blue. The day we recall where we were when we heard the news. The day we mourn the losses.

As this day has been approaching I have been thinking about freedom. Freedom in general. But also freedom in Christ.

Sin is bondage. It puts chains around our hands and shackles around our feet. It weighs us down and stops us from moving on. It stops us from loving others as we should. It prevents us from doing God's will. It brings about a darkness.

We are children of the King! We need to walk in His freedom. Christ didn't take that beating and death so that we could be shackled to sin. He did it so that we could be free. Free from sin and free to fellowship with Him.

If sin, past or present, is weighing you down, if guilt is eating at you, lay it at the cross! Walk in His freedom. Shake off the chains and kick on those shackles and be free in Christ!

I will walk about in freedom,
    for I have sought out your precepts.
Psalm 119:45

 So if the Son sets you free,
you will be free indeed.
John 8:36

Today we are so excited to have our W2W Word Filled Wednesday Link Up. We desire to connect women of God with one another and encourage each other in Christ. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back and visit a few blogs. Be encouraged and share your own stories in their comments.

Use the hashtag #w2wwordfilledwednesday!

Three rules to this link up:
  1. Must be a {Christian} faith post.
  2. You must link back to W2W somewhere in your post. {check out our cute button!}
  3. You must visit and comment on at least one other blog in the link up.

  2. true freedom is choosing what is right. Besides no freedom is absolute. Freedom without limits is sheer slavery. No man is an island unto himself.guarantor
