Just something to think about...

God has really been speaking to my heart lately.  It concerns how much we really believe the things we say and do and sing, etc. in church.  We sing songs during worship about how worthy God is and how holy He is.  It's easy to sing the words.  It's easy to say 'amen' when the pastor says something about God's goodness.  But do we honestly believe it?

I am so thankful for all that God has done and blessed me with in my life.  I do believe He is holy!  I do believe He is worthy to be praised.  So, if I do believe my actions reflect this?  Do the words out of my mouth lead others to believe it?

I believe if we truly believe that God is holy and that He is worthy of our praise...why are there so many empty chairs in our churches today?  We have no trouble sharing our praise of our favorite sports team with others.  Why should it be so hard to share God with others?  If you look at the football stadiums around nation on any given Sunday, they are nearly filled to capacity with fans cheering on their team.  If you walk into many of our churches on any given Sunday you will find seat after seat empty.  There is something wrong with that picture.  Is our favorite team more worthy of our adulation than our creator?

Just something to think about...

Have a blessed Thursday,

  1. Thank you for a great post. I haves asked why people can raise their arms to their favorite football team but noy to our precious Lord. I have not gotten an answer from the people doing this. My Lord is more worthy of praise than any football team. Why don't people wake up to this?

Blessings to you, Debi and have a great day.

  2. I don't praise anything of this world or things in this world , HONOR God is loving
Christ Jesus. A true believer worships ( in )
