Homemade Pizza Pockets

What if I gave you a quick, simple and delicious recipe for dinner tonight that the kids will love? In reality it isn't really classed as a recipe because you can pretty much add whatever you want to these Pizza Pockets and they will be delightful :)

You will need:
Biscuits
Pizza Sauce
Sausage or Ham (or both)
Shredded Cheese
Any other pizza ingredients you or your family like.
Here are a few we enjoy:
Onions, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Olives, Banana Peppers, Bacon, Pineapples

  • Preheat the oven to 350*
  • Spray cooking spray on the area you will be rolling out the biscuits.
  • Roll them out as flat as you can with tearing them and also so you can fold them over your ingredients.
  • I usually put whatever sauce I am using on first. (to have less of a mess you can skip adding the sauce and simply dip them in that as you eat)
  • Spread all other ingredients onto the one half of the rolled out biscuit (shown above) keeping ingredients away from edges
  • pull the dough over the filling and pinch sides together
  • Place on well greased cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown
Chime in below in the comments and let me know what you will be adding to yours? I'm always looking for new ideas :)
Now I think I better go make these for our dinner, just writing about them made me hungry!

  1. This looks a bit like the pirogi I grow up with, long before we new a thing about pizzas (and before people started to name a different dish pirogi's). We would fill them with fried potatoes and onions, or fried cabbage and onions, or with meat and onions, all very yummy!
