Spring Rain...

Good Morning!  I don't know about where you are, but ol' man winter has stuck his head up once again in the midwest!  I am so ready for spring.  This past week we had a little preview of it and I was in awe once again over the blooming trees & green grass.  I absolutely love springtime because everything is blooming or budding.  Life springs anew!  It reminds me of the new life we have in Jesus.  Winter brings death and ugliness while Spring brings renewal.  That's exactly what we have...our old life (winter) is destined to eternal death without Jesus but when we ask Him to come in and take over, there is a new life that emerges!

I am so thankful that Jesus loves me and that He made my life new and fresh.  I am thankful that the old Debi is gone and the ugliness of my sinful life is no more. 

The past couple of days we have experienced a much needed slow soaking rain.  I love rain and thunderstorms.  The slow soaking rain of this week has reminded me how God gently 'rains' on us with blessing after blessing.  The problem is that most of the time we are so busy trying to dodge the raindrops that we miss the blessings He has for us.  I think everyone should take the opportunity to walk through the rain.  Think of it as God sending blessings our way and let the raindrops fall on us.  It is His desire to bless us beyond our wildest dreams.  But I think sometimes we stand in the way of those blessings.  I don't know about you but I want EVERY blessing God has for me.  And if it takes walking in the rain to receive those blessings, then so be it!!
