The Gift of Yourself

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you cam to visit me." Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you in prison and go visit you?' "The King will reply, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'

~ Matthew 25:35-40

The greatest gift we can give to others is the gift of showing them Jesus' love through the gift of giving of ourselves.

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." ~ John 15:13

God gives us examples for how we as Christians should live, which are written throughout His sacred Word. Within the pages of the Bible we find story after story of how Jesus came to humble Himself and serve others, even unto the point of death.

God challenges us daily to do likewise. When we take on the role of servant to our family, friends and others, we are showing them there is something different about us. We are showing them there is a God who loves them more than they could imagine when we live out our faith, lay self aside and give up our desires in order to serve those in need.

We can already see glimpses of what happens to this world when the human sinful nature is given into. Marriages collapse, children suffer, depression rises, self worth diminishes, and hope is lost. It's time to be different, it's time to make a change. Are you ready to be that change?

Let's take a stand friends. Let's turn back the pages of time to when things were different. To when family mattered, to when neighbors spoke to one another, to when people were ready to lend a helping hand. It starts within our homes, it starts with loving our spouse and our children the way we would want to be loved. From there it branches out to our friends, and others in need.

The change can start with you and me. It's time to take back our corner of the world. It's time to show others who our God really is.

For a limited time we are offering this beautiful serve necklace below. When it's worn close to our hearts it's a reminder to give of ourselves and show the world what we stand for.
