Today at Woman to Woman Ministries we are in week eight of our study, "The Air I Breath, Worship as a Way of Life", by Louie Giglio. Time for Lunch

"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name." Hebrews 13:15

As we look at the above scripture from Hebrews, we see that the way we are able to worship God, is through Jesus. Through His death on the cross for our sins, He paid the price so we can now approach the throne of grace and give our praises to the one who deserves our praise and worship. Without the payment of this ultimate sacrifice we would be lost, we would never know what it means to have a relationship with God.

"Jesus is the everlasting door by which we come to worship God." Giglio

It's because of Jesus that we can come to worship Him at anytime and anywhere. Our worship needs to be consistent, it needs to be ALL THE TIME.  We don't have the option of picking and choosing when we want to worship God, His words states that His praises need to always be on our lips.

What if the Lord decided that He didn't have enough time to speak to us, comfort us, take care of us, dry our tears, or walk beside us? How would we feel? Any relationship takes time and work, they can not be neglected! Some relationships take more work than others depending upon what kind of relationships they are and who there with. Shouldn't our most important relationship with the Lord take the most time? We can not expect growth and maturity to develop in a relationship if only one person is doing all the work.

God longs for us to worship His majesty. He wants us to give up everything that stands in the way of our communion with Him. The words of an old familiar song ring true to what God desires...

 Majesty

Majesty, worship his majesty;
Unto Jesus be all glory, honor, and praise.
Majesty, kingdom authority,
Flow from his throne unto his own, his anthem raise.
So exalt, lift up on high the name of Jesus.
Magnify, come glorify Christ Jesus, the King.
Majesty, worship his majesty,
Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all kings.

  1. Love this, Shari! Any relationship takes work. We cannot say we are a believer then not spend time with God. Nothing should stand in the way of Him!
