Good Friday

Today I have a question...how do you teach your kids what Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday really means? Do you have a discussion? Do you read the story of Jesus' death and resurrection? Last year I got the idea from my friend Jenifer to make resurrection rolls to teach our kids about what happened to Jesus...here's the recipe..

1 can of crescent rolls (for the Tomb)
Cinnamon/sugar mixture (For the spices used on Jesus' body)
melted Butter
Marshmellow (symbolizing Jesus)

Lay the crescent rolls out on a baking sheet, spoon each roll with melted butter then sprinkle cinnamon on them then place one marshmellow in the center. Wrap the crescent rolls around the marshmellow...after you cook them the marshmellow is gone, symbolizing that He has risen! Bake the rolls according to the directions on the can.

I think this is a good conversation starter, you can then read the story of Jesus and how He died and then have a question answer time.
