Family Friday - Praying For Our Kids

There are so many evils in this world pulling at our children. We work hard to monitor their tv watching, yet commercials are just as bad. We work to monitor what they hear, yet the neighborhood kids are teaching them things we are trying to shelter them from. Everywhere we look, the world is pulling on them. There is a daily war for your children.

Ladies I greatly encourage you to spend time in prayer over your children. Daily pray the Spirit of the Lord on them. Last night I encouraged a friend struggling with some issues to (while home alone) pray over her children's beds, toys, clothes, over every room in the house and everything they touch. Plead the blood of Christ over your children.

Pray:
"The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD—
"
Isaiah 11:2

We never know what our children will face when they turn on the tv, go to school, or walk down the street.  We need to continually hold them in prayer.

How can we pray for you and your children today?

Sweet Blessings~

  1. This is a great reminder. Jenifer when we were raising our kids Nanny would say "I would hate to be raising gets now" well, I said the very same thing when your Mom was raising you kids. I am saying it again seeing my grandchildren raising their children, I am so glad I am not raising any children right now. It seems with each generation it gets harder and harder to raise children, there is so much out there that is trying to'grab' the children. You are doing such a wonderful job with our great-grandchildren. You guys are making sure they are taught all the right things. Thank you. All parents need daily prayer.

Blessings to you and love you.

  2. Hi Jenifer - great encouragement. i have found the older they get the more necessary I have felt it to pray. Maybe because we are unable to protect them as much so we need to trust God more!
    God bless
