Marriage Monday Love Dare 3\2

Last Marriage Monday we began to go through the Love Dare together.  This week we are continuing on with Week/Dare Two.

"Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also forgave you."  Ephesians 4:32

Patience with your husband avoids a problem.  When we are slow to anger, we are avoiding arguments and bitterness.  In the same way, kindness creates a blessing.  When we are kind to our husband and tender-hearted, we are blessing him.

Being kind takes action.  First, we must be willing and ready.  When conflict arises, it is very easy to become angry.  Kindness takes work.  We need to be willing to be kind.

Kindness takes initiative.  Being kind often means thinking ahead.  It means preparing to be the first to smile and say a kind word, not waiting on our husband to make the first move.

Today's Dare:

In addition to saying nothing negative to your husband again today, do at least one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness.

Comment below or on our Facebook page telling us what act of kindness you did for your husband.

  1. I'm not sure if it's an act of kindness or obligation, but I'm going to go ahead and paint the chair rail he's wanted finished, and also clean the garage for him.

These are things that he's wanted done for quite some time, but the garage is also something that he would expect himself to take care of, not me. I'm hoping this helps to take a burden off his shoulders!
