The Only Thing That Counts

We all have different preferences and ways to worship when it comes to corporate worship services.  Some prefer quiet music, while others like the music to be more vibrant.  Some people prefer to sit, while others want to stand and even move around.  We clap our hands, bow our knees, raise our hands, bow our heads - all in praise and worship of our Mighty God.  Many forms of worship, but only one God being worshiped.

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
Galatians 5:6  NIV

As much as we might want to deny it, I think we all make assumptions about people.  We gather some information - where they live, what job they hold, what kind of car they drive, and even what church they attend - then make judgments based on that information.  That's one of the reasons I love the blogging world.  There are no preconceived notions of what someone should be because I don't know anything about them. I read a blog and I get to "know" the person only through the words they share from their hearts. I don't care what church they attend, I don't care how they worship - I only care about Who they worship.
Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives. That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original.  Galatians 5:25-26  The Message

This is my last regular post for Woman to Woman Ministries.  I have felt for a while that God was calling me away from this ministry, and after much prayer, I made the decision to step away.  I have no doubt that God will continue to use Jenifer, Debi, and Mandy to bless, inspire, encourage, and minister to other women.  I'm so grateful for the opportunity to work with these amazing women; they will always have my love, prayers, and support.  If you want to keep up with my writing, you can follow me at A Moment with God.

Many blessings,
