Tasty Tuesday - Yummmm

I am so excited about our Tasty Tuesday Recipe today.  Actually, I am going to give you 2 recipes.  The first is a delicious hamburger that my husband and I love and the second is one of my favorite cookie recipes.

Teriyaki Burgers
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
tbsp. soy sauce
2 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
Dash garlic powder
1 lb. ground beef
1 can (8 ounces) sliced pineapple, drained
4 sandwich rolls, split (or hamburger bun)

1.  In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients.  Crumble (raw) ground beef over mixture and mix well.  Shape into 4 equal patties.

2.  Grill, covered, over medium heat or broil 4" from the heat until they reach your preferred level of done.

3.  Grill or broil pineapple rings until lightly browned.  Place burgers on roll bottoms.  Top with pineapple and lettuce, if desired and roll tops.

As an added level of flavor, spread a little butter on the cut side of the rolls and grill or broil them until lightly browned.

And now...Dessert!  These cookies are simple and quick.  They are one of my favorite.
No-Bake Cookies
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
1 stick butter
3-4 c. Old-Fashioned Oats
Optional Ingredients:  1/2 c. coconut and/or 1 tbsp. peanut butter
Add coconut with oats, peanut butter with the 'mixture.'

Mix the first 4 incredients in a pan.  Bring to a boil.  Let boil for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes for soft cookies, up to 3 minutes for hard.  Remove from heat, add oats.  Drop by spoonful onto foil or parchment paper.  Let dry.  Makes approximately 3 dozen cookies.

I don't usually get 3 dozen cookies because I put some of the 'dough' into a bowl and eat it warm!  Yummy!!!

I hope you try these recipes.  I think you will love them as much as we do.
