Marriage Monday - Flirting

Happy Marriage Monday!  I have a question for you today.  When was the last time you flirted with your hubby?  Flirting is a fun, playful, sometimes sensual way to catch your mate's attention.  It is a way to show him that you are still attracted to him and love him.  When we are dating, we flirt.  We give him those special looks, we bat our eyelashes, giggle at their jokes even when they are not funny, and caress their hand as they hold ours.  We may have snagged our man, but the fun of flirting should not stop.

One of the five love languages, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is that of touch.  Touching can be one way to flirt.  Reaching for his hand across the car, patting or rubbing his back while sitting on the couch watching tv, walking up to him and giving him a hug for no reason, touching is a great way to flirt with him.  Other ways to flirt with your husband could be a wink, a special look, or text a sweet love message to his cell.  One small way I flirt with my husband is stickers.  Yes, stickers!  Occasionally I will buy a pack of heart stickers and place one in my husband's lunch.  You could also buy those little candy kisses and give him a "kiss" by putting a little candy in his lunch or briefcase.

Don't let the chase end, continue to flirt with your husband.  If you are still unsure of how to flirt with him, think back to what caught his eye while you were dating or simply ask him what he likes.  Have fun flirting with your special guy!

Sweet Blessings~

  1. Great reminder, Jenifer. I recently heard someone phrase it this way. Have you stopped pursuing your spouse? We need to continue to pursue.

  2. Hi Jenifer. Great reminder. It seems so long ago. My husband and I have determined to spend some us time together without children soon to remind ourselves what we're all about!
    God bless

  3. I don't want to get lazy in my marriage and this is a great way to keep the spark alive. I just might steal your idea of using stickers. Great post!

  4. I love romance - what a great way to keep it alive in my marriage. And since we both work at home there's always that opportunity.
