The Presence of God

Good Morning!  And what an amazing morning it is!  It's another Thankful Thursday and today I am particularly thankful for the presence of God in my life.  I know that I have shared with you the love I feel for Springtime.  For whatever reason, this year it has been a little sweeter than I remember in the past.  I pray that it is because I am feeling closer to my Creator than in the past.  Everywhere I look, I see God.  This week has been a glorious week, weather-wise.  The temperatures have been marvelous...not too hot, not too cool.  The sun has been shining; the birds have been singing.  It has been beautiful.  I have opened the sunroof in my car while driving and just reveled in the 'smells' and 'sounds' of spring.  I have stood outside my front door and looked to heaven and taken in all the beauty around me.  I have thanked God for His creation.  I have thanked God for the changing of the seasons (oh, that was last weeks Thankful Thursday!  *smiles*).

I just can't get enough of this spring season.  I truly feel the presence of God in the air.  He has always been there, but I am acutely aware of Him right now.  I feel His presence all around me.  I don't know why I feel Him more than I have in a long time, but I do and that's all that matters to me.  You see, I want to feel His presence in every aspect of my life.  I want to see His beauty in all things and all people.  My heart is full of the love of Christ and I desire to be as close to Him as I can while I am on this earth!

I am so very thankful presence of God.  To be honest, I don't know how people get through this life without God.  I know that I would not be able to function if it weren't for my God!  His presence is to important to me.  Last night on the way home from church a song from the Newsboys came on.  I love the song and hadn't thought of it in a while.  The song is called It is You.  Part of the lyrics are:
As we lift up our hands
As we call on Your name
Will You visit this place
By Your mercy and grace?

Won't you take a moment and just call on the name of God and 'feel' His presence!  He will visit you.  Will you take a moment to feel His presence?  Take a look around you and see the blessings He has bestowed upon you.  Be thankful for His presence.  Listen to the song and just rest in the glory of God and have a Thankful day!

Enjoying the Presence of God,

  1. There is nothing like feeling the presence of God. It must be something like heaven is and we will know for sure when we go to our forever home. The feeling is so awesome knowing God is so close. It is a Thankful Thursday and I like feeling thankful. Just seeing and hearing the things He has given to us to enjoy is wonderful. No one but God could create these marvelous things. Thanks for a beautiful post. Love you and blessings to you.

P.S. It is wonderful hearing my beautiful daughter's beautiful voice again. Luv ya!

  2. I love being in the presence of God! As a matter of fact my favorite worship song (and my cell ring tone, smiles) is I Love Your Presence. Today I will take extra time out to sit in His presence and worship. Great post!!

  6. I love how you emphasized that you "want" to feel His presence and you "want" to see His beauty because that's really all it takes to be completely opened up to all that He has for us... just wanting to... not being too busy and too caught up by this temporary life to experience Him. Really, lovely post... thanks Debi!
