Peaceful Rest

Today I'm thinking about you. The beautiful woman who reads this blog every day, thirsting for encouragement on how to live the godly life we all want so badly.

Do you have a up close and personal relationship with Jesus? Do you know God as "Daddy"?

Are you a stay at home mom?

Are you a full time/part time working mom?

Do you spend time with God every day?

What's your day to day life like?

I used to work, now I stay home. My house is crazy loud. Right now it's nap time and I have a headache. I'm seeking God's face with all I have today. I need that extra "oomph" to get me through the rest of my day. I've had to break up 3 fights and clean up macaroni and cheese thrown across the kitchen floor. Yes..I would definitely say Jesus is working overtime on me these days. I thought I was desperate while I was working, I never would have guessed at the patience and perseverance I would need to get me through every day with my two toddlers.

I pray with all my heart you have time to spend with our Heavenly Father every day. I can't imagine my life without Him, I can't imagine being a mom or wife without His guidance. I've done it before and it's not pretty.

Do you spend time with Jesus? Did you know that if you feel like you can't go one one more second and you cry out to Him, He will give you rest? He's all perfect and all knowing and all loving. After I layed my children down for their nap I went to Him and I'm able to continue on with my day ~ only in His strength.

Spend time with God, that's the absolute best thing you can do as a wife/mom for your family. I used to spend time with Him on my lunch break at work, so you can always find time for Him with a little rearranging of your time and priorities.

  1. What a great post, Mandy! Like you, I cannot imagine my life without God. There is no way I could possibly begin to get through the trials and tribulations without His hand on my life. And I can't imagine not having Him there to bask in the glories of triumphs! He is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. He gets me through every season of my life! Great post!

  2. I feel for the ones that don't know the love and comfort of Jesus. I don't want to go through life without knowing He is by myside and helping me every step of the way. Thanks for the great post. Blessings.

  3. Mandy, we have had the same kind of week. I couldn't imagine a moment without God let alone a day without Him. I am finding that when I truly run to Him and rest on His big shoulders, I find comfort. Great post!!

  4. I want to "need" to spend time with God everyday. I don't want to be self-sufficient, but God-sufficient. Jesus is our comforter. Great post!
