Falling Into Autumn With 10 Great Quotes

As bronze, gold, and amber leaves begin to fall from the trees and the breeze turns cool, we welcome the arrival of autumn.

Some of us love autumn for the sense of nostalgia, holidays, and new beginnings.

Soon people will be lighting their scented candles and fireplaces. The sounds of dried leaves rustling in the wind are like a tune of nature's music to my ears. Smells of cinnamon and nutmeg and apple cider and pumpkin spice, drinks are sure to delight.

I invite you to enjoy these quotes as autumn unfolds brilliantly before us.

"It's the first day of autumn! A time of hot chocolatey mornings, and toasty marshmallow evenings, and, best of all, leaping into leaves!"— Winnie The Pooh

"The earth has music for those who listen"— William Shakespeare.

"Just before the death of flowers, and before they are buried in snow,

there comes a festival season when nature is all aglow."Unknown.

"All those golden autumn days, the sky was full of wings. Wings beating low over the blue water of Silver Lake, wings beating high in the blue air far above it . . . bearing them all away to the green fields in the South."— Laura Ingalls Wilder.

"Love is to the heart what the summer is to the farmer's year. It brings to harvest all the loveliest flowers of the soul."— Billy Graham.

"I loved Autumn, the one season of the year that God seemed to have put there just for the beauty of it." — Lee Maynard.

"I can smell autumn dancing in the breeze. The sweet chill of pumpkin, and crisp sunburnt leaves."  Ann Drake

"I hope I can be the autumn leaf, who looked at the sky and lived. And when it was time to leave, gracefully it knew life was a gift."—  Dodinsky.

"Come, little leaves," said the Wind one day, "Come to the meadows with me and play. Put on your dresses of red and gold; For Summer is past, and the days grow cold."― George Cooper

"Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting, and autumn a mosaic of them all." Stanley Horowitz

I have to tell you that every autumn for the past several yearsEcclesiastes 3 always comes to mind several times throughout the season.

The first verse says: "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that God has a plan for all people. Therefore he provides life cycles, each with its work for us to do. Although we may face problems, they should not be barriers to believing in him but rather opportunities to discover that, without God, lifes problems have no lasting solutions.
