Generation to Generation

By: Jenifer Metzger

As a mom and now a grandmother, I am continually thinking of the legacy I want to leave my family. The legacy I want to leave is simple: faith.

I want my children and grandchildren to know of the faithfulness of God. I want them to know His love and mercy. I want them to trust in God and follow Him. I want them to live fully for Him.

It starts with me.

If I want my kids to know the faithfulness and love of God, I have to live out the faithfulness and love of God for them to see.

Direct your children onto the right path,
and when they are older, they will not leave it.
Proverbs 22:6

In the book Generation to Generation, Yael Eckstein says, "The more we shine the light of our own faith, the more we will spread the light of God - to our children, their children, and beyond."

Yael shares the lessons of faith instilled in her by her parents that helped her to persevere following the sudden death of her father, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, and gave her the hope and courage she needed to follow in his footsteps as President and CEO of The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.

Generation to Generation: Passing on a Legacy of Faith to Our Children is all about passing on the legacy of faith and tradition to our children. You will love reading this book. There is also a PDF work book and cute coloring book. The Holy Land Moments Coloring Book, with stories of the Holy Land and faith with beautiful pictures to color.

To enter to win a copy of the Generation to Generation book and the Holy Land Moments Coloring Book, comment below with a way you are working to leave a legacy of faith. The winner will be chosen Friday, December 17th and emailed from jenifer@w2wministries.org.

It's time for Share A Link Wednesday! Each Wednesday we invite you to leave a link to your latest blog post in the comments. We still desire to connect women of God with one another and encourage each other in Christ. So grab a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea, sit back and visit a few blogs. Be encouraged and share your own stories.
