My Lamp

By: Jenifer Metzger

Have you ever tried to walk through your home when it is completely dark? You know the room, you know what's there, but it still isn't easy to maneuver around without stumbling. Yet, when we turn on a flashlight the room is illuminated.

That is how God's Word is to us. We can walk through this life knowing what is there and where we think we need to go. Yet without the Word, we stumble in darkness.

His Word is our lamp, our light. Reading the Bible each day illuminates our life. Our circumstances may not change, but reading the Bible prepares us and equips us to better handle what is to come. Or attitude changes, our outlook changes, and our reaction changes.

Let's be women who light our path each and every day in the Word of God.

It's time for Share A Link Wednesday! Each Wednesday we invite you to leave a link to your latest blog post in the comments. We still desire to connect women of God with one another and encourage each other in Christ. So grab a cup of coffee or glass of sweet tea, sit back and visit a few blogs. Be encouraged and share your own stories.

  3. I am not sure how I would ever make it through this life apart from His Word.

    My post today is:

  4. I agree: Let's be women who light our path each and every day in the Word of God.

  5. YES!
I can always tell when I'm not getting regular infusions of truth. We are word-dependent creatures, for sure!
Here are my musings on the month of April:

  6. Yes! I really needed this reminder today. Thank you for sharing. Here is the link to my latest blog post
