Simply Trust

By:

Emily Miller

We have all been there before. A trying situation comes into our lives that can make it seem next to impossible to overcome.

Yet, when you look back on that same situation a little bit later, you realize that God was indeed in control, and that you had nothing to worry about as you were going through that trial.

Seems easy, doesn’t it?

Flash forward a few days, months, and weeks later and here you are caught up in yet ANOTHER trial that you can’t seem to see a way out of.

This is because as humans, it is very easy to forget that God is in control. We cannot seemingly see past our current situation, so it only becomes compounded all the more.

The Israelites has the same issue. They could not see past their problems, or even seem to remember that it was the hand of God who had delivered them in the first place.

They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”
Exodus 14:11-12

Despite all this, God continued to deliver them, each and every single time.

So, remember the Israelites. Remember you are a child of God. You have already been saved and will always be delivered no matter what.

Blessings,

Emily
