Faith not Fear

By:

Emily Miller

I think for us women we all have the tendency to want to be control freaks in every aspect of our lives.

We like to have order and organization, and when there is any aspect of our lives that is not well planned out we start to worry.

The fact of the matter is though that it is impossible for us to control every single aspect of our lives. Not everything is going to go as we planned, and there may seem like there is nothing we can do about it.

As a matter of fact, there is something we can do about it. We can take a page out of Ruth's book, a young woman who followed her mother-in-law to a strange land with no hopes of remarrying or even providing for herself or Naomi, to begin with.

Yet, she had the faith. It was with this faith that she stepped out into the scary unknown, eventually being blessed by God for doing so.

Fear of the unknown when our plans go astray is often one of the main things the devil can use to keep us from experiencing God's blessings in our lives.

To overcome this fear, we have to step out in faith just like Ruth, trusting that God will bring us blessing in our lives.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
-John 14:27

So the next time you are faced with the unknown or if things don't go as planned, remember to step out in faith, not fear!

Blessings-

Emily
