Make It Personal

The thoughts on my mind today are this:

Do we really, I mean really, believe the Word of God? Ephesians 3:20 KJV tells us "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,"

The NIV says, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us," and the NLT reads, "Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think."


When I look at the different interpretations of this verse it helps me to understand just how much Power my God has. Now, I think I have a pretty good imagination...I tell my congregation to imagine the most amazing of things ever...God can do M.O.R.E.  

We all have periods in our life when we think we are at the lowest possible point. If we would remember this verse and the Power that God had when we allow Him to use us...those low points in our life would become catapults into mountaintops!

I challenge you to read the promises of God and truly believe them. I challenge you to replace the 3rd person pronouns (he, she, it, us, them, etc) in verses with your own name and make it personal!  Like this..."Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in ME,"  When you do this, it helps  you to understand that the Word of God is meant for YOU and not just Bible time people.

If we can start believing that God's word is for US then it will change our entire life!
