What if?

By: Shari A. Miller

The other day I was watching a Christian woman on Periscope speak about two little words, "What if?" These words can be so inconspicuous and yet have such a powerful meaning at the same time.

What if you have more children?
What if you home school your children?
What if you decide to go back to college?
What if you decide to trust God and do the hard thing He is asking you to do?

Those two little words can pack quite a punch don't they?

Is there anything that God is asking you to do that seems impossible? Are there any of those "What if?" questions running through your mind?

"For God did not give us a Spirit of timidity, but a Spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
 - 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

I want to encourage you today to trust God with the impossible. Don't let the enemy hold you captive in fear of what might happen.

Just think.....

What if Billy Graham never took the first step and followed God's call to share the gospel with the world?

What if Moses decided it was to hard to do what God commanded him and turned and walked away?

What if David was too afraid and never slayed the giant?

Today is the day to move forward and stand on His promises. He is right by your side, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Don't be afraid of the the "What if's?" Stand firm in the presence of King and move forward towards that next thing He is asking you to do.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 (ESV)

  1. There are many "what ifs" in life. But I think if we trust, and remain open, what actually happens is what was meant to be.
Have a wonderful week and thank you so much for stopping by my blog this week.
